Meteorite Impact - A Crash of A Different Kind
In the pictures you will see a crater 20 meters wide and 10 meters deep made by a meteorite impact. The pictures show how it travelled through the atmosphere before impact. This phenomenon was seen in Mazsalaca Valmiera District of Latvia and it must have been an unforgettable day for all who witnessed this. No injury was reported from the impact of the crater and a lot of different stories have been circulating about the cause of the crater.
In the crater, burnt nitrate and sulfur was found. As the meteorites enter the earth’s atmosphere, a lot of heat is generated which leads to its components getting burnt. There are non-believers everywhere and some geologists believe that this may be a prank. The geologist believes that people have dug up the crater and a mixture of ammonium nitrate with sulfur was used to get the fire going.
